Ares is a wonderful little
guy - I told Julia she didn't have to buy him! <grin> But she
insists I honor that in utero contract, dangit. Here are some pictures
Julia took when she came to visit him both on his birth day and at 6 days
old. This little guy has SO much sense and is so smart!
My beloved pure Spanish dressage mare, Condessa,
and the gorgeous, acclaimed by Juan Llamas and national judges stallion,
the General, made a
wonderful combination. Ares has wonderful conformation, a lovely
hip, nice big movement, beautiful front end, beautiful back end and perfectly
straight legs. He's got a great personality and is quite the clown,
I've been teaching him tricks, too <grin>. His favorite is to
take the Jolly Ball (purple, of course) when asked, and fling it at his
mother. He is incredibly easy to train and just loves
attention - a real pocket pony sort of guy.
I'm glad to have him leave us to go with Julia and Christopher Webb, our friends. They are excited about their first PRE Andalusian and we are excited to be able to give them such a very special boy, of such high quality and personality. The best part for me is having him go to such wonderful people who are only a few hours away, and still get to watch him grow up!
