Pure Spanish Andalusian mare, grey. Foaled in May 1994. Bred by Skelton Mountain Dream Ranch, a wonderful Andalusian ranch owned and run by Joe and Dee Skelton in Bellview, Colorado.

Condessa is a sweetie. The vet from CSU that did the pre-purchase exam told me she was a lovely mover, beautiful conformation, astoundingly good feet and the most amazingly good disposition he had ever seen - told me I got a gem! (But then I knew that ) She has continued to prove her lovely disposition and willing, loving heart over and over. As my dressage trainer/friend Anita Johnson told me "This mare will do anything you ask her to, driving, dressage, trail, whatever. She'll do it."

Condessa has turned from a lovely dressage mare into a fantastic broodmare. She is a wonderful mama, attentive, protective and loving, but she takes no prisoners when he gets out of line! I guess I shouldn't be surprise, just another thing Condessa does well (grin) - can you tell I think this mare is special?

Condessa's full sister, Alegria came to Black Forest when she did. They enjoyed each other greatly, as this March 1997 photo of one of the first really warm, sunny Spring days clearly shows! Da Gurls snoozing in the sun.
