Network Adapter Installation

NOTE: The simplified instructions given here are intended to assist users in installing the Network Adaptor (Ethernet/modem)(for PlayStation®2) in the PlayStation 2 system. For your safety, carefully read the instruction manual supplied with your Network Adaptor before attempting installation.

Installation of the Network Adaptor using a High-speed connection:

1. Before installing the Network Adaptor, make sure that the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system is disconnected from the electrical outlet.

2. Remove the expansion bay cover from the back of the PlayStation 2 system. Use the indentation at the top of the expansion bay cover to get a grip with your fingers in order to pull the cover free. Be sure to keep the expansion bay cover for future use.

4. Fasten the Network Adaptor to the system, by gently turning the screws clockwise using a coin (tighten the screws evenly switching from side to side). To avoid damaging the screw threads on the PlayStation 2 system or the Network Adaptor do not over-tighten and do not use a screwdriver.

5. Remove the sticker covering the NETWORK connector on the Network Adaptor and plug your Ethernet cable in the connector labeled “NETWORK”.

6. Plug the AC power cord for the PlayStation 2 system into an electrical outlet.

7. Power up the PlayStation 2 system and load the Network Adaptor Start-up CD that is included in the Network Adaptor package.
